I went to an eclipse themed dinner party last night and thought I’d share the cocktail I came up with. Meet the Bitter Moon. It’s angry the sun always steals the show but every now and then it gets sweet revenge.
The Bitter Moon 🌕 🌖 ⚫️
1.5 oz Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro (or Fernet Leopold -Highland Amaro if you can’t find )
.5oz Mathilde Cassis
Squeeze of lemon
A shake of Dram Black bitters
Orange juice frozen into an ice sphere
Shake with ice, strain and serve over an orange juice sun in a glass rimmed with lemon sugar. Garnish with the fiery moon. (Spicy Cocktail Cherry)
