Building a basic cheese board doesn't have to be intimidating. Essentially the goal is to provide something for everyone, vary the textures and colors for aesthetics, and assemble a plate that is both beautiful and delicious.
Really it boils down to : Cheese - olives - bread or crackers - nuts - meats - pairing condiments - garnish
We believe a basic cheeseboard should have 1-3 different cheeses in varying textures and flavor profiles. We like to also vary by type of milk used.
Our basic board includes a soft goat chévre, or brie, a harder aged cheese like a pecorino romano made from sheeps milk, and a 3rd soft, but intense flavor, like a Cambozola, from cows milk and is a bleu / brie combo, also Cypress Grove's Humbolt Fog that is a goat cheese with an ash ribbon in the center is a great 3rd option. All of these cheeses pair well with our entire line of Deliciousness flavors. Experiment to find your favorite pairings.
To take your board up a notch, add some charcuterie and our Cherry Fig Mostarda.
