We all know that Deliciousness makes an excellent ice cream topper. Ever since those early days of scooping Sweet Action ice cream at the night market circa 2016ish we have emphatically championed the pairing of these two delicious things.  But for the last year and a half I have been obsessed with making ice cream, not just eating it, but making it. Truly obsessed. In this time I have experimented quite a bit, this little kit gives you a starting point to begin your own journey into the expanding world of icey deliciousness. 

Toffee is the not so simple meeting of sugar, butter and heat and this alchemy when cooled becomes something all together delightful. I met Peter of Red Rocks Toffee last year through the Greyhound Group I volunteer for. Like me he loves long, fast, dogs and is fellow food maker fighting the good fight. We have become fast, not greyhound fast, but still fast, friends. He's a little bit kooky, a lot of bit fun and makes the best dang toffee. He has been making toffee for close to 20 years and still makes every single batch by hand with an absolute mastery of candy making. It is stunning on a bowl of vanilla ice cream, or mixed into a coffee based ice cream. Boom.

The wooden spoon is handmade from Teak wood  in Thailand. Naturally finished with food grade oil, not shellac, these spoons are beautiful and with care will last you a life time. I find scooping the finished ice cream out of the machine without scratching it a challenge. These fit the bill. Also sturdy enough to scoop from a frozen container. Feels nice in the hand too. The souvenir spoon for dishing Deliciousness out of the jar is an authentic vintage souvenir travel spoon. Sadly you have to trust us to pick which one. 

Lastly, our fall seasonal flavor, Campfire Apple Rum Deliciousness is our fresh fall flavor made from honey crisp apples, brown sugar and nutmeg, rum and roasted coffee bean. This flavor works so well with a vanilla ice cream. Either over top or added as an inclusion in your favorite ice cream recipe.
