No, that isn’t a comment about the financial status of RedCamper..that would be more like “keepin’ it out of the red”..no..I’m talking about the 2nd Annual Green Harvest Silent Auction which is a fundraiser for Earth Force, a Denver based non-profit that teaches youngsters how to improve their environment and their communities.
RedCamper donated one tote to their auction which has some pretty kick ass items up for bid…including a solar panel system, a scooter, a New Belgium bike..not too shabby. Head over and help this worthy organization raise some funds for their program.
THIS THURSDAY – Nov 12th
2nd Annual Green Harvest Silent Auction
Temple Emanuel – 51 Grape St., Denver CO 80220 – 5-8pm
I’m headed to the Denver Modernism Show Aug 28-30th. Hope you can make it. I’ll be debuting the new greeting card line…more info to follow.
Well…I made it into PDN..not the way I thought I would..but here it is. A review on the Skylark. Thank you very much PDN.

I’m doing some housecleaning around here. Times have been rough for RedCamper. Could be the year of neglect. Could be the suck economy, could be the price of all the materials that go into this bag have risen..risen..risen..could be any number of things..but the retail model isn’t working. Sure, RedCamper has been in stores, boutiques and galleries in 10 states and 5 countries..but those stores are closing, it’s difficult to find the right place for RedCamper, etc..etc.. but the worst thing of all is how much I have to increase prices to match the retailers price. It’s the mathematics of economics, of the wholesale/retail model. No one is gouging, everyone is just trying to cover their costs and try and make a living, but every step away from the RedCamper headquarters results in an increase in price. So..as of today..RedCamper bags are no longer going to be available through 3rd party retailers. We’re coming back to our roots. My roots. It is just me after all. So..you can still purchase original RedCamper bags here, on Etsy, and maybe if you are lucky, at local show near you.
Remember to support your local artists & independent designers and craftspeople. Help keep us from having to get jobs doing stuff we hate doing. Because we wouldn’t be very good co-workers. Thank you.
